Job Description

The position requires the candidate to work on the SEP Management Console and Server part of our product responsible for client deployment & management, monitoring, policy administration and reporting among others.The candidate is required to own components and parts from the Server infrastructure as well as Management Console and enhance/add features as per defined roadmap. As an owner of a component, the candidate is also expected to work on identified defects and possibly issues identified by our customers.As an owner of one or more components, the candidate is also expected to work with minimal supervision on identified defects and possibly issues reported by our customers and - Provide vital inputs for the product roadmap, features and design discussions- Establish a strong working relationship with global counterparts - Have a strong focus on following and improving defined processes- Take active part in driving features of the product being developed - Build a strong team by hiring and mentoring of team members- Be a 'go-to' person for his/her areas of expertize - Be able to provide Technical assessment and evaluation of new technologies to senior management- Being a team player and a stakeholder in team's success and failureQualificationsBachelor/Master in Computer Science/Computer Engineering from a reputed University relevant industry experienceSound knowledge of Operating System concepts/architecture, Networking, and Design patterns Prior Product development experience is a must; experience of working on a Security product is highly desiredExposure or experience of Agile methodologies like Scrum will be a big advantage Should have a keen focus on Software qualityPrior hands-on experience with Java technologies is required (Java/swing, servlets JSP, Spring, familiarity AJAX ) Exposure or working knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies is desiredExperience using Apache, Tomcat, and some database RDBMS Oracle, SQL, shell scripts preferred Exposure or knowledge of following technologies would be Nice to haveo Exposure to HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, JQuery-UI, PHP o Exposure to Web Socketso Familiar with Responsive Web Design o Familiarity with one of the test frameworks like JUnit and TestNG is requiredo Knowledge and working experience of Microsoft technologies, Windows Operating system and C/C++ development is desired. o Networking, Internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPs, SMTP
